Treatment for Documentary Film
Hook: The idea for our documentary is to get a response out of the Liverpool public about
their views on what they have planned for the running up to the Beatles 50th anniversary. We shall be talking to Club owners and Beatles merchandisers as well as museums.
Narrative Development:
Beginning: We will be showing the docks of Liverpool. the we will cut to some vox pops of what the local residents think of the Beatles and if they are still relevant to todays society, as well as asking them about their favorite song and Beatle. We will then have some still and go into one of our first interviews.
Middle: We shall have our first interviewee from the Cavern club Jon who is the events manager. We will be asking him questions about the Cavern Club and its link with the Beatles. Since its an iconic Club we will be asking him specifically what the Cavern has install of the anniversary. Our second interview shall be of a current Cavern performer who sings covers of Beatles songs. We shall be asking him why he likes the Beatles and why they are relevant to him as a young performer.

End: To close we are going to have our final interviewer, which will be from the Beatles shop. He knows alot about the band and has come across alot of their fans. We will be asking about the impact the band have made on Liverpool as a city and out of the ordinary facts about the Beatles he knows. We will be also asking him what the Beatles mean to him and why they are still worth knowing about.
Target audience:
The target audience will be aimed at Beatle fans and the local Liverpool community. The tone of the documentary will be balanced with the pace speeding up and slowing down when needed to add extra effect and emphasis on our points being raised, with an engaging and more relaxed and contemporary feel. We want the documentary to target a wide audience; this is because the band made a massive impact on world music inspiring people from Michael Jackson to Lady Gaga.
Purpose:
To inform people of the build up to the Beatles 50thAnniversary in August and to
remind them of what the band brought to the city of Liverpool.
Style:
Artistic cut-aways with a voice over.

We willbe visiting the Beatles museum showing some of their famous moments in history. The maintopic will be about what will be happening towards the anniversary. A topic we will also bediscussing of what change to band made to the city and the music industry with their music.We will also me asking how important The Beatles history is to the different generations and is it appreciated enough by the community. We will also want to exhibit different ways peopleshall be paying homage to the legends.
